Yay! for Ice Skating

I didn't realize until recently how much I missed watching Ice Skating. I'm so glad it is Ice Skating season.  It seems like every weekend there is some special on featuring Ice Skating - last weekend's special featured ice skating and gymnastics!  This weekend I'm watching a show of improvisational ice skating and it features the music of Styx.  What could be better!

On top of all of that, I found out that the US Figure Skating Championship is coming up soon and it is happening in San Jose.  I just got tickets to go with some of the women in my family!  I'm so excited. It's going to be a great Girls Day Out.

Mythbusters: Behind the Myths Tour

We had a great time on Sunday with dinner and a show in SF. I had bought Mike tickets to see the Mythbusters live tour. We had dinner at Jasper's Tap and rushed over to see the show at the Golden Gate theater. I have to say I didn't love that this show was only offered on a Sunday evening, but it all worked out. We got home around 10 pm. It was so much fun that being a little sleepy on Monday was worth it!

My main resolution this year is to blog more and get more memory keeping done, whether that is recording things by blog or scrapbook. I giving myself more freedom in format and just saying "get it captured somehow!"

I hope 2012 is as great as we all want it to be!

Halloween at our house

The Halloween decorations are finally out and I had a chance to set up the mantel this weekend. I got a great selection of gourds and love that they will transition nicely to Thanksgiving decorations.

Starting Over

Welcome to my new blog.  Thanks to the Google conversion earlier this year, I need to restart the blog, so I guess I'll take the time to redesign things.
